I signed up today for Nancy Crow's Lines, Curves, Circles & Figure/Ground workshop at the end of October. This excites but at the same time intimidates me, but if I want to grow and learn new perspectives, I can't keep following the same path. I admire her work and I like what I've read about her, but it just seems such a big leap to actually take this workshop. I know several people who have taken a workshop of hers and have nothing but praise for her, but if anyone else out there has anything to tell me about her, please feel free to do such.
This week I found a moth (or is it a small butterfly?) sitting so very still on my hibiscus plant out side my back door. I was afraid that it would be gone by the time I dragged out my camera, but it never moved. I'm not even sure that it was alive! Believe it or not, I like the neutrals in its coloring, and once again am intrigued by the potential for inspiration for a textile composition (but where are all these inspirations going? I ask myself).
