Thanksgiving in Serene Setting

The serene setting for my family's Thanksgiving weekend in western Virginia was probably the best we've had. We were surrounded by fields of cows, some of which were unrelentingly bellowing throughout the night last night. Not knowing why, really, we surmised that young calves may have been taken from them. In any event, the night sounds were so different from those I hear at my house, so it was refreshing even so. The nights were cold and clear, and as you can see from this picture, the moon was bright, even in the late afternoon; that night the moon shone into the window so brightly that it was difficult to stop looking out the window at the illuminated night images.

Glad that your Thanksgiving was in such a tranquil place and you had opportunity to just be away from the ordinary!
