New Nine by Forty-Five

  1. This is the newest 9 x 45 which will have one more tulip, a purple one, after the painted fabric dries. The blue tape line is the edge of the piece, and the leaves for now are dummied-in with black Kona fabric while the dark green, painted fabric also dries. All the fabric is painted with Pro Chemical & Dye PROfab paints, as learned last year at QSDS with Elizabeth Busch. I wanted only the tops of the tulips to be in the composition, and initially I did not have any stems included but realized it needed the elevation of some of them. They are now just pinned in place and with the addition of the purple tulip into the right most area, they may move a bit. I'm having fun with this piece, and the plan is to do this one without fussing, and quickly.
