When pruning my climbing rose I noticed that one of the cut pieces had rose hips. They were too beautiful to cast into the yard waste bag so I brought them in and placed them in a vase with rocks in the bottom. They called to me to sketch them, and after a couple of weeks of picking away at the sketch I finally finished it today.
