Stripes, Just Putting Down Threads

It has been since August that I have used threads by machine.  A friend of mine said that to get back into it, I should just sew two pieces of fabric together and the rest would happen.  Today that is what I did.  I selected pieces from my hand-painted fabrics, sliced them vertically and sewed them together.  The quilting is straight lines--couldn't be simpler.  And I did it.  I started again.
