Embellisher Even Exchange

After breaking four needles, John jumped into the situation, saying that something was wrong with the machine, not with what I was doing. Sure enough, the needles were aligned such that they aligned with the very left side of the plate holes, and any slight fabric move, such as turning or attempting a circle would cause the needles to meet the metal. We packed up the machine and John was not able to find the receipt, but we went to the Husqvarna Viking dealer despite this. Carol, a member of the quilt guild was working there, and she and the other staff member exchanged the machine for a new one without further ado. We checked the new machine at the store to be sure of its alignmnet, brought the machine home, set it up, started using it without a single needle breakage. I'm a happy embellisher. The Husqvarna store is the one in Gaithersburg on Clopper Road, and I will certainly purchase from them again, as I've been considering getting a Sapphire 850. Perhaps I'll do that, but I'll sleep on it a bit more.

Lucky old you! Glad you got it sorted. I've heard so many people say they have trouble with needles breaking until they get the hang of operating the machine, but in your case, you never would have got the hang of it would you!?

I certainly wouldn't have, and frankly, I was beginning to think that I really did not like embellishing. Not sure just how I'll put it to use yet, but I'm hopeful that I'll find it a great tool.

Yeah for John! The embellishing is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Happy New Year.
