Beautiful Friend, Beautiful Work

Posted by PicasaI feel fortunate to have found that a fellow quilt guild member and I live five houses apart. She is interested in the same kind of quilting ideas and directions that I am, and it has been a delight to get to know her. After a successful day of second-hand shopping finds, she brought me a piece of gorgeous green fabric wrapped in ribbon with this tiny little "inchie" attached. I love it so much that I've shown it to friends and family, this tiny little piece of art. It just brings me joy. So I thought I'd share the joy with you. It can't be much bigger than 1 1/2" by 1". Just packed with cloth and paper pieces, angelina, and other bits that I probably don't even know about. Click on the picture for a closer view. Inspiration, that's what we all need. Thank you my friend!

It looks like a jeweled postage stamp... or maybe a large ring... what a lovely little!

I used to knit sweaters (by machine) and every now and then made a few mittens because making little things seemed a quick pleasure trip. You have my imagination going!
