Now that At the Lake has been quilted, buttoned, and beaded--all three beads!--I can see that some visual aspects of the quilt are sliding down toward the right. The rightmost button is set down a tad from the others, and the bottom piece has a downhill discharged design, about which I can do nothing. The button will be repositioned, as I have not sewn the facing down in the back yet. As for the discharged design, it will have to remain the “oops” of this piece. I built this piece, really, for the fun of it, not for competition, so I can let it be what is wants to be. And fun was what I had in making this one. Not a bit of stress over it. And it really went fast. I started it Monday night, July 28 and am finishing it now. Not bad for me! I’d like to do more in this carefree way. And I just love that a straight edge never came in contact with this one! Not even for the outer edges. It was all by my shakey little hand. Special thanks to Anabelle for the polyclay buttons, and Julie for the beads.Tuesday, August 5, 2008
