Don't Like It? Paint it.

Posted by PicasaI was very unhappy with the corner blue piece of At the Lake #2. With the deadline for turning in quilts for a Cloth & Chocolate exhibit coming up, I had to do something. Paint seemed the best option given the amount of time before turning them in last Sunday. The painting that I started with made the corner piece very muddy and, well frankly, boring. Then John came to the rescue. Believe it or not, there's florescent orange in the mix of colors that were used for this paint-over. Thanks goodnesss for John, who is a scenic artist, and is always ready to help with any fabric painting project, whether it is advice or getting the brush out. Thank you, John for saving this quilt! It was really blue before painting it (acrylic paints).
You may be thinking that I should have straightened the photo, but I've found that with Picasa, the straighten function results in a somewhat-fuzzy photo. So I decided to live with the crooked content.
