President Obama: A Celebration in Art Quilts

Why didn't I take my camera? Friday, Feb. 13, a quilting friend and I went to the the President Obama: A Celebration in Art Quilts exhibit opening reception at the King Street Gallery in Takoma Park, Md. I am so glad that we went, even though we nearly gave up trying to locate the building. The energy there was electric. I met some of the quilt artists, including one who lives in the town where I was born and raised. The quilts, of course, were wonderful; I encourage you to go see the exhibit if you have not and you live in the area. If you visit the Washington DC area, consider taking it in.
