Lines #8 Testing Testing

This is a test piece using the brown and blue fabrics I've chosen for Lines #8. After rather sloppily quilting the test piece, I did some acryilic painting over the high spots of the quilted surface. I'm not sure that I like the Pthalo Blue, and maybe am leaning toward the Cobalt Blue, each of course mixed with a good bit of white. As for the fabrics, I definitely like them, but am still working on the painting aspect--and may even abandon the painting. More as I progress with the test.

Wow that is a lot of quilting on the piece and it looks great. I love blue and brown together. I remember when it first became popular for men to wear a blue shirt with a brown suit. And if they guy had blue eyes too, Wow.

That is really pretty, but up close the quilting lines mix in with the stripe part so it's not clear if it's separate or part of the same fabric. That maybe the look you're going for though. The colors are beautiful.
