So begins the hand stitching of the light lines. The thread was a thicker white (not sure what weight at this point) to which I applied color with acrylic paint (white, naples yellow, cadmium orange). I found the hand stitching to be quite an enjoyable process this evening. And now, thunder pounds around my little house and I want bring me and my computer to a quiescent state.

When I started reading your blog, I thought you did your stitching by machine. Today, I looked at this one and wondered how you started and stopped in such perfection, then realize you might be doing all this stitching by hand... so my next question is how do you manage to get the stitches so even? Yikes, you are good!
