Lines #9 is a whole cloth painted piece. Absolutely no piecing. This is an experiment. Quilting lines have been applied to the lines as well as to some of the darker painted spaces. More color will be applied later as couched rust-red lines so for now it looks rather gloomy and boring. Then hand stitching on the painted lines. I have a vision, even though this looks a bit unconvincing. And this pic shows the quilt upside-down.
