This photo shows some of the hand stitching on the 9" x 45" piece, for which about close to half of the stitching has been done. It's mostly straight stitch, cretan stitch, feather stitch, and cross stitches. It's been very relaxing to work on this piece while listening to past episodes of Garrison Keillor's The Writer's Almanac and watching (really listening to) fiber art video downloads from Interweave.

I admire your patience with the hand stitches. Your 9 x 5 piece is looking good!
I am lucky if I can sew a straight stitch with my machine and you do beautiful handwork. I am looking forward to seeing what you are working on at the sit and sew.
