After sewing over a pin that created the worst pin diaster ever for me, John helped me take the bobbin apart to clear the wreckage. When I reassembled it, the machine clearly made uncharacteristic and disturbing sounds. I took the machine to G Street Fabrics for what I feared would be expensive repair. It only needed to be cleaned and adjusted, and I was relieved.
While putting it back into it's cubby hole in my Horn cabinet, the neatness of the coiled cord made me stop and consider that any service technician who would take the time to wind the cord so precisely and deliberately must surely have treated my machine with the same attention to detail. Although I did not photograph the foot pedal before putting it back on my machine, the wrapping of the cord for it was just as impressive. I just wanted to share my joy with you! However, I have not yet tried sewing with it but I'm confident that it will sew like a Bernina, for I agree with Bernina's declaration that "Nothing sews like a Bernina. Nothing."

I took my Bernina up to Sistos. It came back looking like brand new. I was shocked and delighted. Maybe it's a Bernina thing. All I know is that my other sewing machine sometimes comes back dirtier than when it went in.
