Yes, the cats own this quilt. They claimed it long before it found its place on our bed. After making quilts and quilted items for others, I finally made a quilt for us. It is so large for a queen sized bed that we actually fold down one of the ends. Don't ask why, for I have no better explanation than I miscalculated somewhere along the way. I quilted it on my machine, using the 'quilt as you go' method I learned from Lois Smith's book on Machine Quilting. The photo in which you see the guts of the quilt shows a step in this process. I displayed the (long) quilt in the Friendship Star Quilt Guild's show last year. Since then it has been a blanket for us and a favored place for the cats.
