Oh dear, I was unable to complete the assignments that were given today. Even so I learned a lot. Such as DON'T FEEL COMPELLED TO PIN! Around 3pm today the light bulb went on, and I realized that this pinning thing takes a lot of time. Wow, do I learn slowly! Also, I do not have to make sure that the curves are perfectly aligned concave to convex. Let's just say that I'm very very tired tonight, so much so that I really did not feel like blogging (now that's bad!). But really, I've learned quite a bit and am well aware that my quilting approach is altered forever. And this is good. I love being liberated from the straight edge, perfect corners (OK, I like nicely pieced quilts and that will likely never change), and perfectly square or rectangular shapes. I'm excited about all that is coming my way in this workshop; right now it is a bit overwhelming, as there is a lot to do! I knew tonight around 8:30 that I had hit the wall when I was sewing extraneous pieces of fabric into my seams. Time to stop. Tomorrow morning will be here soon enough.
