Someone dear to me had successful heart surgery this past week. Rather than wring my hands the night before it was scheduled to take place, I started this small piece for which the title will be Lifting Her Up. What you see is a portion of the approx. 12" x 12" piece. It is mostly silk dupioni with some velvet and rayon. All the stitching is by hand. I can see from this photo that I want to pull out and re-stitch the upper left corner. Funny what a photo shows that can't be seen in the actual piece.
