Icy Weather

The weather in western Virginia yesterday took an icy turn. My Mother, pictured here at our Thanksgiving cabin, slipped on ice at the end of her sidewalk's brick steps and ended up taking an ambulance ride to the emergency room where she learned that, thankfully, no bones were broken. John and I drove the two and a half hours to be with her today and tomorrow, and lend a hand where possible. Rather bruised and sore, she's moving around slowly. Since I'm here, and always ready to work on a quilting project, I'm helping her with the binding on a quilt that she just had hand quilted. I wish that I had brought my camera to show you, but I unintentionally left it at home.
