Uninteresting as it appears, this is the backing for Sarah Beth's quilt. It is common to use left-over fabrics in the quilt backing. My sister wanted to purchase the additional fabric needed to complete the quilt top, and in this situation I'm sorry to say that I led my sister into buying too much fabric for this purpose. Wow, did I ever misjudge how much I'd need. But it has come in useful for the backing, and not much remains now. Does this redeem me? The piece at the top right appears to be almost black in the picture, but is actually a deep purple. The quilt top, layed out on the bed, appears brighter in color than in reality.
