The original design idea for Sarah Beth's quilt was one with a horse theme. The feedback on the prototype was not what I had hoped for. While I love the colors, others felt that the colors were not cheery, not feminine, not Sarah Beth. And the severed horse bodies did not go over well with some who critiqued the sample. With the loving constructive criticism I received, I abandoned this idea completely, and you see in the previous blogs the idea that superceded this one. I find that it is a good idea to start with a sample to test the likeability of what will be the final product.
