Almost Ready to Call it a Bad Idea

The idea was better than the actual project. This is the beginning of a clutch (purse). The under layer is cotton broadcloth, the upper layer silk organza. The broadcloth was dye discharged in circle shapes of varying sizes. Problem is, the discharged circles can barely be seen under the organza layer. It's as if I did not do that step. I'm carrying out my plan to embroider around the circles, and possibly embroider some more, and add more. You can see the embroidery thread choices in the picture. And there are to be free-flowing lines of embroidery running amongst and between the circles. And add beads, and more beads. In my head, a very lovely purse. But I'm having real doubts now. And of course, the original motivation is quickly fading. Help, I'm stuck!
