I made my sister's jacket, so why am I envious? I'm quite certain that I'll not make one of these again! This is a sweatshirt jacket. Though I like deconstructing and reconstructing the sweatshirt, transformed of course, I do not particularly like the way they fit after adding all that fabric and stitching. It feels a bit bulky and stiff. But, it does look great! This jacket was made for my sister in 2004 for no particular reason, other than the fact that she is my only and favorite sister! And I get the satisfaction of seeing her wear it, as she actually wears it frequently. John always tells me to take photos of the inside of pieces that I'm making. And in fact, I kind of like the inside of this jacket--though it is now hidden by the gorgeous lining. I sure wish I had one just like it. Maybe someday my sister will make one for me...nah! Just kidding Rachel, love you sis!

Well, I am the sister she made it for, and it is a total classic. Everytime I wear it I of course receive many compliments on its fine workmanship. What can I say except that I love and will cherish it forever. Sister, please do not hold your breath while waiting for me to make one for you. It just won't happen. Quilting is not my talent.
Well you've told me that, so I must believe it. But it gives me pleasure to know that you love it. That's enough.
