Forge Fire

Being one of those days when an hour of shopping sapped the remaining energy after a routine day of work, I just had no push to turn on the Pfaff this evening. So Sarah Beth's quilt progress is on hold for today.

In the absence of quilt progress, I thought I'd show a picture of William's quilt. This was completed earlier this year, and was made with his love of forging as my guide for the colors. William also happens to have gorgeous red hair, and the quilt and he are aptly color-coordinated. The colors in this picture show the darker, almost black, blocks to have a blue sheen that is not realistic in the actual quilt. The name of the quilt is "Forge Fire". I hope William gets many good nights of sleep under this quilt, wraps himself in it for comfort, shares it with his friends, and passes it on to the next generation--assuming it has such longevity!
